Notice of Retraction Method of power flow optimization for prevent icing in Power Grid with Controllable Line Losses

2011
The transmission-icing threatens the security of power system. This paper proposes a method based on the controllable line losses by optimal power flow control. For the propose of prevent icing, the iced line current is gradually increased until it is slightly greater than the critical non-icing current, through changing the generated output, network reconfiguration and switching on-off the reactive compensation equipment to increase the line losses. At the same time, the security of power system must be ensured. In this method, the heat is produced by the working current through a line is used to balance the heat for icing. As a result, the ice formation condition is broken. The proposed method is verified by MATLAB on the IEEE 9 system. The simulation results prove its feasibility and effectiveness. The comparison of the local power flow control and the optimization of the whole network power flow control shows that the latter is the better method for prevent icing.
