Factors Leading to Poverty in Concentrated Poverty Zone in Central Soviet Area of South Jiangxi

The Central Soviet Area in the south of Jiangxi is a typical example of concentrated poverty areas in China.Resolving rural poverty there is an important goal in implementing the strategy of revitalizing the Central Soviet Area of South Jiangxi.The article made a quantitative research on the influence that factors leading to poverty in Central Soviet Area of Jiangxi South had on the per capita net income of rural households with the Grey Relation Analysis(GRA) method based on economy,society,nature and other relevant data of 13 counties in Jiangxi South Central Soviet Area from 2006 to 2010.The empirical result shows that the first industrial added value,residents’average education years,rural cooperative medical coverage and electricity consumption had clearer impact than other poverty factors in Central Soviet Concentrated Poverty Area in South Jiangxi.Developing the regional feature industry,improving the level of education,strengthening the new rural cooperative medical security and carrying out the rural power grid construction are conducive to promote anti-poverty in the Central Soviet Concentrated Poverty Area of South Jiangxi.
