Blue and white electrophoretic particle microcapsules and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses blue and white electrophoretic particle microcapsules and a preparation method thereof. A capsule wall of each microcapsule consists of gelatin and arabic gum, and a capsule core of each microcapsule consists of copper phthalocyanine dispersion and titanium dioxide dispersion. The preparation process comprises the following steps: preparing blue pigment dispersion by using copper phthalocyanine, a charge control agent, a dispersant and perchloroethylene, preparing white dispersion by using titanium dioxide, the charge control agent, the dispersant and the perchloroethylene, and mixing the blue pigment dispersion and the white dispersion to prepare capsule core solution; preparing capsule wall solution by using the gelatin and the arabic gum respectively; adding the capsule core solution into the capsule wall solution; and regulating a pH value, performing cure reaction, washing, filtering and sieving to obtain the microcapsules. The blue and white electrophoretic particle microcapsules have the advantages of simple process and readily available raw materials; electrophoretic particles with two colors in the prepared microcapsules have developing function and high color saturation and contrast, and still have obvious electric field response under low voltage; and the microcapsules have good geometric shapes, high encapsulated ratio and high transparency and stability.
