Abducent nerve palsy in a buffalo (Bubalus bubalis).

A buffalo was presented with the history of medial rotation of both eyes since last seven days. Animal had reduced appetite and history of occasional convulsions. Haematological examination showed mild anaemic, marked leucocytosis and neutrophilis along with congested mucus membrane and absence of blood protozoans. The animal was treated with steriods, antibacterials, thiamine and vitamins. The treatment was continued for one week. After 7 days of treatment, one eye recovered completely to normal position and had normal movements while marked improvement was observed in other eye.
