Validação de instrumento de acompanhamento de egressos da pós-graduação stricto sensu na área do Serviço Social

The objective of this work was to legitimize an instrument in order to supervision graduates of postgraduate programs stricto sensu in Social Work, whose reality is a challenge for all programs in Brazil. This is a retrospective and descriptive content validation study, with a quantitative-quantitative approach, to determine whether the items of the instrument properly represent the construct in focus, if so, the monitoring of graduates. The dimensions of the instrument were classified into five axes: characterization of graduates; professional qualification; intellectual production; teaching, research and extension activities; and political-organizational activity, allowing progress in the monitoring of graduates, in the elaboration of strategies to improve the management of the program and, in addition, in the reflexive criticisms about the training system at the stricto sensu level in Brazil. It may be concluded that the option for content validation, in addition to being sufficient for the monitoring of graduates as a performance of the study’s domain of interest, also proved to be a strategy in the co-responsibility of the program’s faculty in this process.
