YB-1, a key regulator of androgen receptor signaling

The multi-functional Y-Box Binding Protein 1 (YB-1) has been associated with poor prognosis and disease recurrence in numerous human solid tumours and has been proposed as a prognostic marker and therapeutic target. Contributing to both, cancer progression and treatment resistance, YB-1’s activities are manifested through its involvement in proliferation, differentiation, stress response and malignant cell transformation.
