The step-wise adsorption of nitrogen on carbon black

Adsorption measurements have been carried out for nitrogen on the commercial carbon blacks Spheron 6 and Vulcan. The adsorption on Spheron 6 is step-wise in the pressure range 0 to 45 mm. (fraction of surface covered approximately 10−5), and on Vulcan to at least 0.16 mm.
