The embodiment of the invention discloses a page information display method and device. The page information display method includes the steps that when a target application program runs on a foreground, whether a trigger operation sent by a user is detected is judged; when it is judged that the trigger operation sent by the user is detected, a target page corresponding to the target application program is obtained, wherein the target page is set by the target application program in advance; a current page of the target application program is covered with the target page so that the target application program can be under the running status formed because the trigger operation is responded, and when an operating system of a hand-held terminal responds to a preset operation sent by the user and used for a preset key, a thumbnail view of the target page serves as a thumbnail view corresponding to the target application program; the current page of the target application program is showed by the target application program when the user sends out the trigger operation. By means of the scheme, controllability over the thumbnail view of the application program can be improved.
