Effective Verbal Communication in Cross-cultural Tourism

As an important medium of language communication in cross-cultural tourism,translation in tourism-related culture is,in essence,a cross-cultural communication activity,aimed to realize the transformation,interpretation and communication of tourism-related culture.This paper,based on the theory of Translation as Adaptation and Selection,probes into the ways in which the translator,in the process of Chinese-English tourism-related culture translation,produces the target texts with the highest degree of holistic adaptation and selection.
