Interaction in polyvinylchloride-butadiene-nitrile rubber mixtures☆

1976
Abstract The radical mechanism of interaction in PVC-SKN-26 mixtures during processing has been detected by IR spectroscopy and by the introduction of an active addition, a free radical acceptor, into the mixtures. The mechanism in question leads to a non-additive rise in the viscosity of the melts and to the formation of crosslinked products. The dioctyl sebacate plasticizer has no real influence on the chemical interaction of the polymers under review.
