The invention discloses a backlight display control method and an electronic device. The electronic device is provided with a sensing unit and an input device. The input device comprises M touch control portions and a backlight module corresponding to the M touch control portions. The method comprises the steps that when the current backlight display mode of the backlight module is a first backlight display mode, first induction parameters are obtained through the first sensing unit, wherein the first induction parameters are the environment parameters of the environment where the electronic device is located and/or the state parameters used for representing the current input states of the M touch control portions; the backlight module is controlled to carry out backlight display in a second backlight display mode corresponding to the first induction parameters according to the first induction parameters, and the second backlight display module is different from the first backlight display mode.
