Optimization of Extraction Process of Angelica sinensis Polysaccharide Using Response Surface Methodology

2013
In this paper,Angelica medicinal materials in Mincounty was used as the testing material. Its polysaccharide component was extracted by water and precipitated by ethanol.Angelica polysaccharide yield was set as the evaluating index to optimize the extraction process.Four factors, namelyadded watervolume, reflux extraction time, concentration ratio of water extracts, ethanol concentration after water extraction and alcoholic precipitation, was optimized by single-factor experiment and response surface methodology(RSM).The results indicated that the optimum extraction conditions were as follows:837.6 mL/100 gas addedwater volume;2has reflux extraction time;228.12 mLas solution volume after solution concentration;65.80% as the ethanol concentration after water extraction and alcoholic precipitation.Under the optimized conditions, the predicted value was 10.44%,the actual yield of Angelica sinensis polysaccharide was determined to be 10.40% which was matched with the predicted value.RSM was proved to be reliable.
