Summary The half life (T1/2) of lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), glutamicoxalacetic transaminase (GOT), alkaline phosphatase (AP) and creatine Phosphokinase (CPK) in sow blood was estimated following the intravenous injection of the enzymes. The T 1/2 of the enzymes showed two or three phasic patterns. T1/2 of LDH was 21 and 124 minutes for the first and second phases. GOT clearance rate was triphasic showing T 1/2 of 21, 180 and 480 minutes respectively. T1/2 of AP was 15.5 and 66 minutes for the first and second phases, and for CPK it was 15.5 minutes for phase 1 and 60 minutes for phase 2.
