Time-dependent Stiffness of Cracked Reinforced Concrete Elements under Sustained Actions

2009
Results are presented of an experimental and analytical study of the change in tension stiffening with time in a cracked reinforced concrete element subjected to sustained loads and drying shrinkage. Recommendations are made for including tension stiffening in the design of reinforced concrete elements at the serviceability limit states.
