ENDOR study of γ-irradiated single crystals of sodium hydrogen oxalate monohydrate, NaHC2O4·H2O

Abstract CO 2 − ions which become trapped after room temperature irradiation display hyperfine interactions with three hydrogen bonded protons. This demonstrates that the radical retains approximately the orientation of the parent ion. The coupling tensors can be reasonably accounted for by a theoretical estimate of dipolar interactions.
