Analysis Voltage Stability in the Interconnection of Battery Charging Station and Renewable Energy

2020
The functioning of an Electric Vehicle ( EV) depends on the charging station for batteries (BCS). If the electrical energy of the EV runs out, then the electrical energy must go to the BCS to recover. In general, BCS is interconnected with systems of electric power. The presence of the BCS, however, will cause the bus voltage to become unstable. The point of this study is to examine voltage stability following BCS interconnection with electrical power systems and renewable energy. The IEEE 14 bus standard is the electric power system used. In order to boost voltage instability and the function of distributed generation ( DG), renewable energy is a solution. Photovoltaic and wind power plants are the newest forms of energy used. Study of stability using the curves P-V and Q-V. The method of testing is carried out by continuing to increase BCS power. It will cause the voltage drop to hit the critical point, the greater the active and reactive power on the BCS bus. In addition, four scenarios are made for comparison. Based on voltage stability, all voltage stability results are compared and selected. It can be concluded that scenario 3 is better than other scenarios, based on all the outcomes of the scenario. Scenario 4 has almost the same performance as scenario 3. Wind power plants with a capacity of 2 MVA are the power plants that make Scenario 3 better. Compared to photovoltaics, the resulting stable region has a broader spectrum.
