Current Status of Schizophrenia Gwas

Abstract The Schizophrenia Working Group of The Psychiatric Genomics Consortium has undertaken a GWAS of 49000 cases and, by the time of conference, expects this to be extended to 65000 cases. Current findings extend the association signal (GWAS discovery, excluding replication) from under 100 independent loci to over 150. We present the headline findings and plans for future extensions of the study.
