High-Sensitivity Cell for Pulsed Photoacoustic Spectroscopy in Gases and Liquids

1992
Researchers in the field of photoacoustic spectroscopy have attempted, for several years now, at improving the sensitivity of their photoacoustic apparatuses. Progress has been made in the use of lamps and CW lasers /1–5/, no particular arrangements, except when a special detector is used /6/, are, however, adopted when a pulsed laser source is utilized. We describe herein novel solutions /7/ which improve the sensitivity of pulsed photoacoustic detection to a large extent.
