By using peroxy-acetic acid to prevent and cure vegetable diseases including cucumber, egg-plant, tomato, hot pepper, water melon, sweet melon, etc. and crop disease including paddy rice, such as withered disease, verticillium wilt, leaf rust, leaf spot, etc; possesses such advantages as good in preventing effect, high in safety, no public hazard etc. The decomposition products of peroxy-acetic acid are acetic acid, water and oxygen, so that it not only possesses strong disinfecting action, but also is an ideal acidating agent.
