A VR Environment for Demonstrating the Impact of Sea Level Rise on Hawai‘i

This paper discusses a virtual reality based visualization for demonstrating the impacts of sea level rise on the state of Hawai‘i. The constructed visualization is developed to provide user entertainment, while still providing an impactful and relatable view of the issue at hand. The process for converting sea level rise data into a format that could be rendered in the visualization is covered along with the implementation and features of the visualization itself.
