Mobile GIS and Its New Applications

This paper introduces the composing of mobile GIS and LBS(LocationBased service) which combines the technology of GIS,spatial orientation and network communications.Then it discusses the new applications o f mobile GIS in several domains such as Location-Based Tour Guide System,dealin g with the fire emergency using mobile GIS and the management system of ambulanc es.In the end it summarizes and forecasts the development of mobile GIS.
