Nuevos recursos para el diagnóstico precoz del cÁncer de próstata. Comentario

The ecography methods came and they show the vascularity of the tissues and it was thought, when the prostatic neoplasias are hyper vascularities these would allow to increase the sensibility of the glandular biopsies, helping to discover cancer in a precocious form. The published results with the Colour Doppler (CD), in this case, weren't encouraged. We communicate our first results with the evaluation of an ecography method that is managed to study tissues vascularization which name is Powerangiography (PA) and has the capacity of showing the density of red globules in a sanguine vessel, with the difference that, the CD shows speed flux. We studied 35 patients using the three methods (transrectal ecography, CD and PA) in a comparative form, taking biopsies of each suspected area for any of the methods. We obtained 36 patterns, except those taken randomized. From the 36 patterns, 25 (71.4%) were for prostate adenocarcinoma, 23 (92%) were discovered by the Powerangiography (PA), while only 14 (17.8%) were by the Colour Doppler (CD). Among the eleven negative patterns, the PA was creditable with the diagnostic in 5 opportunities compared with the conventional ultrasonography that has only in 2 opportunities.
