OPTIMIZATION OF PURE BORAX PENTAHYDRATE EXTRACTION FROM CALCINED TINCAL

In this study, conditions for the calcination process of tincal were investigated and the optimum calcination conditions for boron extraction from tincal were determined. The experimental parameters were dissolution temperature, solid-to-liquid ratio, dissolution time and stirring speed. The optimum dissolution parameter levels were determined to be temperature 80 °C, solid-to-liquid ratio 10 g/dm 3 , stirring speed 250 rpm and dissolution time 5 min.
