Hypertensin Destruction by Oxidized Cytochrome

1945
ConclusionsThe destruction of hypertensin by renal extracts (hypertensinases) was tested by two methods: (1) the rate of filtration in the toad's kidney and, (2) the rise of arterial pressure in the cat.In both cases this destruction of hypertensin was markedly accelerated by oxidized cytochrome and sharply retarded by reducing agents such as ascorbic acid and cysteine.
