An intermediate transfer belt and an image forming apparatus

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt that provides excellent chipping resistance while providing followability to an elastic layer and excellent transferability to irregular paper and can provide sufficient crack resistance, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer belt has an elastic layer and a surface layer laminated in this order on a base material, and in an elastic limit of the surface layer obtained from a stress-distortion curve measured according to JIS K7161, the elongation is 5% or more and stress is 5 MPa or more. In the intermediate transfer belt, the elastic layer preferably has an elastic recovery rate of 70% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
