Connector insulation cap for a switch

2014
The present invention relates to an insulation cap of a connector for a switch, which is applied to a connector used for supplying or branching power in a 25.8 kV underground or padmounted switch and is combined to or separated from an insulated plug for ground connection. More specifically, the present invention relates to an insulation cap has an improved structure to be capable of being combined or separated using a hot-stick tool in one-touch manner and includes an assemblable insulation rod, which insulates a penetration interface of the insulated plug, with an insert-molded FRP rod as a core, thereby resulting in a remarkably reduced defect rate and mechanical and insulation characteristics. The purpose of the present invention above can be achieved by an insulation cap of the insulated plug for grounding, which comprises: a cap body (110) having a plug accommodating part inside to insulate one side connection portion of the insulated plug, and an operation loop made of an insulating material, and inserted and fastened to an outer portion; a screw insert (120) exposing a screw groove formed in an inner side of the plug accommodating part; and an insulation rod (130) coupled to the screw insert by a screw protrusion and extending long out of the cap body to be coupled with the penetration interface.
