Myositis autoantibodies: Clinical significance of higher cut Euroimmun Research Line Blot.

We read with interest the article ''Myositis Autoantibodies: A Comparison of Results from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Myositis Panel to the Euroimmun Research Line Blot'' by Mecoli et al.(1) . The study showed that, by using the Euroimmun panel for myositis-specific autoantibodies (MSA), different cut-offs should apply for all specificities tested in order to determine a true positive antibody status.
