Statistics for networks with a view towards neuroscience

Over the past decade, the importance of network modeling for many areas of science, the life sciences among them, has been recognized. As a result, the activities in network research have rapidly increased. From the mathematical statistical perspective network science is only just starting. In my talk I will discuss some aspects of this development in relation to applications in neuroscience.
