Poland catching-up regions 2 : overview report

2018
The mandate of the European commission cohesion’s Policy is to narrow development gaps and reduce disparities between member countries and regions. Thus, lagging regions development support is offered to a broad range of stakeholders (regional and local administrations, educational institutions, business support institutions, small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurs, investors, non-governmental organizations, international financing institutions). It is meant to maximize the impact of regional investments. Poland and Romania were the first countries to pilot this initiative, with two regions each Świetokrzyskie and Podkarpackie in Poland, and northwest and northeast in Romania. This report covers the overview of the second phase of Poland Catching-up regions initiative in Poland as of May 2018.
