Fontan palliation has improved survival for single ventricle patients, but long-term complications persist including cardiovascular dysfunction, neurohormonal abnormalities, and protein-losing enteropathy (PLE). Although chronic inflammation contributes to morbidity, an association between inflammation and vascular dysfunction has not been studied.
