Provided is a composition which provides no sticky feel during use and which has excellent washability. Further provided is a composition that, when used as a hair dressing agent, exhibits hair dressing properties and is able to hold for a sufficient time period during which a hair style can be dressed. The composition contains an associative thickener, an anionic surfactant, and a higher alcohol.
