The invention provides a miniature bill counter capable of checking counterfeit notes. The miniature bill counter comprises a left side plate, a right side plate, an upper separator assembly between the left side plate and the right side plate, a separator assembly between the left side plate and the right side plate and below the upper separator assembly, and a lower separator assembly between the left side plate and the right side plate and below the separator assembly. The separator assembly comprises a CIS (contact image sensor) image acquisition system adopting the RGB (red, green, blue), IR (infrared light) and RGB arrangement and combination manner, which can lower the cost, improve the operation speed of a processor and greatly improve the checking speed. The internal structure is simplified and the internal space is reduced by using a set of IR transmitting and receiving sensor system, thereby lowering the product cost. An open button mechanism on the rear side of the bill counter can rapidly open the upper separator assembly and the lower separator assembly at a large angle so as to facilitate the daily cleaning and maintenance.
