EROSION INDUCED SLOPE FAILURES IN RESIDUAL SOILS. PROCEEDINGS OF THE ELEVENTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOIL MECHANICS AND FOUNDATION ENGINEERING, SAN FRANCISCO, 12-16 AUGUST 1985

1985
Erosion plays a rather prominent role in the failure of cut slopes in the residual soils along the highways in Ghana. This paper discusses the influence the meteorological-geologic setting has on these erosion induced failures. Methods which are being used to control and/or cope with the failures are presented. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 287689. (Author/TRRL)
