[Cerebellum of birds: comparative study of the density of the Purkinje cells in the anterior lobe (author's transl)].
1976
: The mean linear density of the Purkinje cells in the anterior lobe of the cerebellum of the dung cook, Gallus gallus, is significantly higher (16.8 cells/mm) than that observed in the anterior lobe of the cerebellum of the black vulture, Coragyps atratus (12 cells/mm). It is formulated the hypothesis that this quantitative difference is concerned with the type of locomotion, the walk, predominant in the dung cook.
