Comendadores y Alcaides de Caravaca durante la Edad Media. Cronologías y noticias diversas

2011
The military Order of the Temple and that of Santiago owned the encomienda of Caravaca from the second half of the 13th century. At the head of the encomienda there was a commander named by the master who appointed a governor for each of the existing castle in Caravaca, Cehegin and Bullas. From the 17th century there are known defective and incomplete relations of medieval commanders and their chronology but modern research has considerably expanded the available information, refuting names, filling some gaps and providing other information about the governors of Caravaca and their noteworthy news.
