The 20-36 Ghz Venus Microwave Emission.

1972
Abstract : The results of both total flux measurements and measurements at high spatial resolution of the microwave emission from Venus in the neighborhood of one centimeter wavelength are presented and examined. A newly constructed millimeter wave interferometer was used to observe Venus following the 1970 conjunction, giving information on the brightness temperature distribution across the disk with an effective resolution of about one-third of the disk diameter. Calculations of the total flux and visibility function of Venus are made using an atmospheric model based on the measurements made by the spacecraft Mariner V and Veneras 4 through 7. (Author)
