In the article the ability to work with different sources of information is considered to be a factor of a student's educational independence. There is a variety of methods of language learning education's organization provided with the use of National Corpus of Russian Language and its didactic and developing means which are defined by the content and structure of the source given. The criteria of determining the level of educational independence of a high school student in a certain type of activity are given.
