New nonpeptide angiostensin II receptor antagonists. Synthesis, biological properties and structure-activity relationships of 3-substituted 2,6-dialkyl-4-(biphenyll)methylaminopyridine derivatives.

Abstract The synthesis and biological activities of novel 3-substituted 4-amino-2,6-dialkylpyridine derivatives are described. Compounds from this series have potent in vitro and in vivo angiotensin II antagonists activity, including good activity when dosed orally in animal models.
