A Process for Production of Structural Glass Ceramics-Based Reinforced Composites

1991
Specific properties of glass ceramics include the relatively high high-temperature strength, increaded hardness and corrosive resistance to different aggressive media. These features are desirable when choosing an advanced structural material capable of withstanding temperatures in the range of 1200 to 1400 K. However, glass ceramics are reasonably vulnerable to bending loads, vibration, mechanical and thermal shocks.
