Seeing Double: Piecing Writing Together with Cross-Age Partners.

AS a university instructor and a language arts middle school teacher, we have been working collaboratively for the last three years. This article is a description of our collaborative efforts, including what we have learned about our students and about the process of learning through the work we have done together. To introduce our project, we have chosen to first write in separate voices, but to write the body of the article in the first-person plural to show the extent to which this has been truly a mutual project at all levels.
