Lightweight Spatial Geometric Models Assisting Shape Description and Retrieval

Geometrical models for defining and representing shapes comprise a subject undergoing intense study over recent years. This is evident in the latest rendered descriptors collated in this chapter. Accordingly, a couple of geometrical models are contributed and relatively tested for shape categorization using a supervised classifier in this chapter. The primary intention is to illustrate geometrical models’ active exploitation in building simple shape descriptors supporting retrieval.
