Preparation, writing and testing

You are now at the stage where you are facing the most dreadful thing known to man — the piece of white paper before you. How to start! We have still got a few points to discuss yet, but it will be convenient now to lay out the stages through which a CAL Unit will pass: 1. Task analysis and establishing the educational objectives of the Unit. 2. Deciding upon the Unit structure and the frame type distribution. 3. Validation by a subject matter expert. 4. Pilot trial, followed by modifications to 1 and 2 above if necessary. 5. Field testing, following by modifications if necessary. 6. Coding by assembly programmer. 7. Documentation and publication.
