The invention relates to an intelligent static state switch, a control system thereof, and a fault monitoring method. In operation of an intelligent static state switch, a built-in control system of the intelligent static state switch samples the temperature value of each thyristor and the current value of each phase of the static state switch in real time, and uploads the temperature values and the current values to a processor. The processor carries out comparison between the temperature value of each thyristor and the current value of each phase of the static state switch respectively with corresponding normal scope values. If the temperature value of each thyristor and the current value of each phase of the static state switch are all in the scope of the normal scope values, the switch continues to operate; and if one of the value is not in the scope of the normal scope values, the running state of the switch is judged to be abnormal, and accordingly the intelligent static state switch is immediately turned off, and the judging result is uploaded to a host computer. According to the invention, rapid self-detection of switch faults can be realized; once an abnormity occurs in the operation of the switch, the fault can be timely detected, and measures can be adopted timely to reduce fault losses to the minimum.
