Determination of Amino Acid Content in Mycelium of Edible and Medicinal Cordyceps by HPLC with Pre-column Derivation

2010
The amino acids content in mycelia of C.jiangxiensis,C.taii and C.gunnii was determined by HPLC with pre-column derivation. The results showed that the mycelia of 3 tested Cordyceps species all contained rich amino acids, and the amino acid content in mycelium of C.jiangxiensis was up to 19.86%.The glutamic acid, serine and threonine content in mycelia of 3 tested Cordyceps species were all over 1% and the glutamic acid content in mycelium of C.jiangxiensis was up to 2.38%.The mycelia of three Cordyceps species, especially C.jiangxiensis with various amino acids and high amino acid content have the high development and utilization value.
