Les trois temps de l'aménagement du territoire en France

Domaine privilegie de l'Etat, l'amenagement du territoire est ne de la necessite d'assurer un meilleur equilibre des richesses sur le territoire national. L'experience a cependant montre que les politiques conduites dependaient etroitement des fonctions d'autorite que l'Etat exercait sur les institutions locales. Ce document apporte un eclairage sur la maniere dont la France est intervenue pour organiser economiquement son territoire. Entamees apres la seconde guerre mondiale, ces politiques ont connu trois orientations differentes correspondant a trois periodes distinctes dans l'approche economique des modes d'intervention. Apres une phase d'interventionnisme important, l'Etat francais a progressivement opte pour la decentralisation afin de satisfaire aux exigences de la construction europeenne. However, experience showed that theses policies depended closely on the authority that government exercised over local institutions. This paper brings some elements about the ways France has taken to organize its economic territory. Started after the second world war, these policies have undergone three trends corresponding to three different periods in the economic approach of government intervention. After an important period of interventionism, the government gradually chose the way of decentralisation and took into account the requirements of the european construction. But for which results?
