Study of spectral characteristics of silver halide polycrystals at terahertz frequencies

In this study, we investigated the spectral characteristics of AgCl-AgBr polycrystals at terahertz frequencies. To our knowledge, it has been conducted for the first time. It was revealed that the crystals have transmission bands in this spectral region and their transmission percentage is quite high. This opens up new horizons for the application of silver halide fibers in various terahertz systems.
