About the use of numerical integral methods to simulate a fluxgate magnetometer: The ring-core example

2010
In this paper, numerical integral methods are proposed to simulate fluxgate behaviour. The goal of this work is to improve fluxgate magnetization description with efficient numerical methods and to favourably replace the classical, and still used a lot, demagnetization factor. To begin with, the numerical integral methods are briefly stated and their advantages and drawbacks are discussed. Then, they are evaluated on a well known and widely studied fluxgate which is the ring-core. The results appear to be close to the experimental data. In addition, these methods corroborate some assumptions made in previous papers by different authors.
