Method for determining a pupillary distance of a person

A method for determining a distance of pupil of a patient without physically measure said distance with a device. The method does not require travel or expense of a doctor's visit, and is optimized for comfort and profitability. In a general embodiment, the present disclosure provides a method for determining a pupillary distance of a patient. The method includes, receiving a front facial image of the person, a distance estimate singing an axis of a person from the facial image front and determine an estimated pupillary distance of the person from the front face image. The method also includes determining an image scale based on the distance estimated song and singing a specified distance, and apply the image scale to the estimated pupillary distance for determining the pupillary distance of the person.
