Disputas acerca do politicamente correto no período eleitoral de 2018:: a negação de conflitos identitários

The article seeks to apprehend the link between the attack on the political correctness (PC) and the denial of social differences. From the Brazilian electoral context, we explore the battles linked to such discursive regulation, with varied origins and effects in the public sphere. Through content analysis of 2,614 comments on the Facebook pages of Bolsonaro (ex-PSL) and Haddad (PT), the main findings indicate that Bolsonaro's supporters mostly attack the PC and deny the differences between identity groups , while Haddad's defenders defend this regulation and recognize conflicts. Despite its transgressive character, the attack on the PC has political-ideological segmentations.
