Numerical Simulation for Soil Surface Explosion Problem - A study of fragments controlling effect using liner plate application –

2018
The main objective of our research is to contribute to a technique of unexploded bomb (UXB) disposal such as an establishment of evacuation areas based on the computational mechanics. To reveal the fragments behavior such as shells, explosives and soils, the computational model based on the SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) schemes have been constructed with HyperWorks-RADIOSS (®Altair) software. In this report, we addressed the effects of the difference amounts of shells and explosives on the fragments behavior. And then, the computational models including a liner plate, which are corrugated thin steel sheet, have been developed. By conducting a series of numerical simulation, we investigated the protection capability of fragments about the liner plate and we also discussed the reduction of an evacuation areas.
